St. Paul calls the Galatians stupid, because they think they can earn salvation. Christ came to free us and save us. There’s nothing we have done or can do to earn that freedom and salvation.
We try to live the best we can, but we depend on God’s love and mercy, because sometimes we mess up. That’s just being human. The important thing is to stay connected with Christ.
Jesus preached about the importance of prayer. That’s one way we stay connected with Christ. Through prayer we become more aware of God’s presence, God’s support, God’s mercy, as we do our best to follow the example Jesus set for us.
So let’s not be like the stupid Galatians, thinking we can do it all by ourselves. We need God, and we need each other.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22)

Beautiful images, sentiments and quote, as always!
