The network

Recently I moved to a new town and a new apostolate. In the transitioning from one home and work to another I have become aware of how important human connections are in the adjustment process. I have the good fortune to know a number of people in my new home through previous employment. Connecting with these people has helped ease my way.

In a recent post I wrote about trees in a forest communicating through their root system, connecting with other trees in a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit, with older “mother trees” providing protection and sustenance to other trees.

We are connected to a universal community by the Holy Spirit, and like the trees of the forest, we do better when we function as supportive members of this community than when we stand alone.

May the Spirit of Christ accompany all of us as we journey together, help us to support each other on that journey, and open our eyes to the way we should go.

” For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” (I Corinthians 12:12-13)

  1. As usual, Fr.Ron, “spot on” composition in these exquisite photos, and they conjure the tranquility of the settings. Thank you.

      1. We are enjoying the weather and we plan to enhance the enjoyment with several days on Monhegan Island and then several days in the Camden area. I know that you and you will be fully enjoying nature and capturing special moments.
