Gratitude and generosity

Gratitude is a key virtue in the spiritual life and in life in general. So much goodness comes from a sense of gratitude.

Gratitude leads to a generosity of spirit, the forgiveness of enemies, help for the needy, and acts of selflessness.

Generosity carries its own reward. How you measure out will be measured out to you in this life and in the next. Gratitude and generosity are important virtues for our life together.

All virtues are ultimately a response to God’s love for us.

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High.” (Psalm 92:1)

It’s a sculpture from the San Francisco Museum of Art. It fills a room.
