Let it shine

Jesus asks us to live our purpose, to let our light shine, but sometimes it takes a while to figure out what our purpose is. Jesus helps us see our purpose through his teachings and actions.

People who study cultural trends say that many people today are isolated. They have no sense of purpose, nothing to give their life meaning, and no real connection with other people, so no sense of community.

Jesus calls us to let our light shine, to care for each other, to do the right thing, the loving thing, the good thing, and, yes, the holy thing,

As we live our calling, we will grow as people who share their love and sense of community with those around them and with the world. Then we will be like the lamp that is placed on a lamp stand, giving light for all to see.

“The whole law is summed up in a single commandment, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14)
